About the project
The transport and delivery industry is heavily regulated, and many companies struggle with complying with legal regulations related to driver activity. This can result in costly infringements, which can be challenging for companies to track and avoid.
RoadSoft’s goal is to solve this problem by developing a user-friendly software platform that simplifies compliance with legal regulations related to driver activity. This helps transport and delivery companies comply with legal regulations and avoid costly infringements, while also improving their operations’ overall efficiency and safety.
Their UX designers were open and keen to learn about my business. Our business is specific, and it takes years of experience to fully understand the scope of our product in the market. They were open to learning everything about our product. It was easy to transfer the information, which sped up the project.

Responsibilities
As the lead UX designer for RoadSoft, my primary responsibility was to create a user-friendly interface for the target users. I conducted user research, collaborated with the product and development teams, created design prototypes, and conducted user testing to ensure that the final product met the needs of our users. Throughout the project, I led the design team and worked closely with stakeholders to ensure that the design met the project’s objectives, resulting in a platform that simplified compliance with legal regulations and improved operational efficiency and safety for transport and delivery companies.

Product Requirements Document (PRD)
As part of the design process, one of the key activities was creating a product requirements document (PRD). The PRD helped to define the scope of the project and ensure that the design met the technical and business requirements of the RoadSoft platform.
To create the PRD, the design team worked closely with the product and development teams to identify key features and functionalities of the platform. The PRD outlined the target users, their needs, and pain points, as well as the technical and regulatory requirements that needed to be met.
The PRD also included information on the platform’s user interface, user experience, and overall design. This helped to ensure that the design was user-friendly and met the needs of the target users.
The PRD was a valuable tool for the design team throughout the design process. It provided a clear framework for the design work and ensured that the design met the project’s objectives. Additionally, the PRD helped to align the design team with the product and development teams, ensuring that everyone was working towards a common goal.

Solution
The final solution was a user-friendly platform that simplified compliance with legal regulations related to driver activity. The platform’s key features included the ability to gather tachograph data and present it in a user-friendly web app. The platform allowed admins to filter and view data from different perspectives, including driver violation and driver improvement over a selected period of time. The platform was designed to be user-friendly for those who were not tech-savvy and who may not have prioritized compliance with legal regulations related to driver activity. The platform helped transport and delivery companies comply with legal regulations and avoid costly infringements, while also improving their operations’ overall efficiency and safety.
